OUR TESTING PROTOCOLS

From bramble resistance to absolute waterproofing, our testing protocols leave nothing to chance: every component and product undergoes a rigorous battery of tests designed to push limits further. The goal? Ensuring our gear accompanies you for as long as possible.

To guarantee the longevity of our products, the Solognac Lab pushes every fabric to its limits. Our engineers subject our textiles to up to 49,000 rubbing cycles to simulate years of intensive use and certify maximum abrasion resistance.

The Solognac Lab developed an exclusive protocol to measure resistance to bramble puncture. Using a custom machine built to simulate the exact pressure of a thorn on fabric, our engineers measure the force required to pierce the material. This standard lets us validate the toughest components, ensuring you can push through the densest biotopes with complete protection.

The Solognac Lab simulates extreme conditions to ensure complete waterproofing: our top-of-the-range boot models undergo up to 1,000,000 flexes submerged in water, providing flawless waterproofing over more than 1,000 kilometres. On our walking rigs, we also replicate morning dew and heavy downpours to validate comfort and dry protection for every user.

To guarantee perfect viewing from dawn to late dusk, our binoculars undergo a series of tests: our engineers precisely measure light transmission rates, parallelism, and field of view. We also conduct thermal shock resistance tests (from -20°C to +60°C) and anti-fogging tests.
